Projects1 > Climate, Environment and Biodiversity2 > Establishment of Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre in Bang...
The Establishment of CReLIC is the first component of the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming (CRIM) project implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) of Bangladesh. It counts with co-funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and KfW. The objective of CReLIC is the systematic integration of climate change adaptation into decision-making regarding infrastructure planning, supervision and maintenance at LGED in Bangladesh.
CReLIC is conceived as a centre of excellence and knowledge hub that collects, processes and provides data, information and knowledge on climate-resilient infrastructures to LGED engineers and exchanges with relevant national and international research institutions. The Centre – aimed to be established as a permanent institution – will bridge the gap between the increasingly diverse and competent landscape of think tanks and academic institutions providing infrastructure-oriented policy advice and climate adaptation research in Bangladesh.
