Our Clients
Currently our major clients are the GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation), the KfW Entwicklungsbank (German Development Bank).
We work according to the participatory AMBERO consulting approach. This means that the assignment is jointly understood, planned, and implemented. In this way we meet the requirements of the assignment and achieve customer satisfaction of the clients and target groups.
Our adaptive approach has proved to meet the expectations of a variety of clients, such as:
the European Union, AFD (French Agency for International Cooperation), BGR (Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe), Enabel, IDB (Inter-American Development Bank), FME (Fundación Minera Escondida), Plan International, Sequa, The World Bank, UNEP (UN environment programme) and others.
Our Philosophy
As an independent engineering and consulting company, our intercultural and multidisciplinary teams with their regional knowledge offer a winning combination of technical and engineering expertise as well as consulting and conceptual services. This holistic perspective promotes the success of our projects and has ultimately allowed AMBERO to look back on a history of steady growth.
AMBERO is a company with flat hierarchies: the responsibility for each project’s management lies with one person. This ensures a direct and trustful collaboration and significantly reduces lag time on executive decisions. Our tandem structure allows for a well-informed substitute in case of duty travels or other temporarily absence of the key project manager. Following the subsidiarity principle AMBERO’s team leaders on site enjoy the autonomy and local decision making within their operative budgets and a horizontal and fluid communication with the project managers at headquarters. As experience has shown, our clients and partners appreciate this flexibility. Especially for projects in difficult conditions, it supports creative, unconventional, and quickly implementable solutions that consider the interests of the various stakeholders.
We place great emphasis on reliable and confidential cooperation with partners at all levels. Integrity is central to the work of AMBERO. Our code-of-conduct is based on international standards, which includes integrity management as a top priority.
Integrity and compliance
Our values
AMBERO’s corporate values and principles are the basis of our decisions and daily actions. We act with integrity and do not accept any violations of applicable laws, in Germany as well as in our partner countries, and our principles and rules. We act accordingly to the Dorsch Code of Conduct that outlines our principles of ethics and behavior such as equality, compliance with contracts and the law, transparency, loyalty, trust, and cooperation in a spirit of partnership. We expect the same from our subcontractors and professionals and require our partners and target groups to respect our principles.
At AMBERO integrity is a management matter:
AMBERO’s management team commits itself to thoroughly advance all aspects of the Dorsch Code of Conduct. Not only leading by example but also by encouraging AMBERO employees to inform the management of any violations and raise questions if they come across doubtful situations. In our multi-cultural set-up, a compulsory basic training and straightforward roll-out of our compliance system, enables a common understanding of and access to information to all our team members around the globe.
In situations where direct individual communication is not possible or appropriate, our whistleblower system offers an anonymous way to report possible compliance situations: EQS Integrity Line
Supply Chain Due Diligence Act
Complaints pursuant to § 8 SCDDA about occurred or imminent incidents relating to human rights or environmental issues in connection with the operational activities of Dorsch Global companies or suppliers of Dorsch Global companies can be submitted, among other methods, through the complaint mechanism provided here.
Quality Management System
Our understanding of quality
For us, quality means that we know and fulfil the expectations of our internal and external customers regarding our services, products and processes, and that we perform our services economically. In doing so, we do not only have current but also future customer expectations in mind.
We aim to learn from our current projects and to continuously improve our products and services. The same applies to our internal procedures and processes, whose regular improvement is part of our quality management system (QMS).
In line with these principles, AMBERO counts on a system for quality assurance and control of processes to achieve consistent and customer-oriented quality. The management board has committed itself to consistently apply and continuously improve the quality management system. In addition, we have a quality management officer who takes on essential tasks for the maintenance of our QM system. Our system is reviewed annually as part of our continuous process of organizational development and our annual reflection.
The principles that guide our
quality requirements are:
AMBERO´s quality management system
Managing and improving our work processes and ensuring our quality has been central in our company´s culture since AMBERO was founded in 2003. Early on, our heads of section were responsible for the further development of our most important processes related to acquisition and project management.
In April 2015 we established our internal control system, which bundled these subjects.
Since November 2020 AMBERO´s quality management system is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement.
