The project aims at furthering the implementation of national and municipal budget cycles according to the principles of good financial governance. It aims to improve the quality of expenditure as well as the quality of income of the State while also working on the improvement of transparency. Finally, it works on improving the monitoring of the implementation of public policies based on the 2030 Agenda in order to optimise new planning, both at national and local levels.
The key outputs are the following:
- Capacity building for legally compliant implementation of budget processes in financial administration;
- Improved performance of tax administration;
- Increased transparency and accountability in the allocation of public funds;
- Improved quality of public investment planning;
- Improved quality of annual reporting on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
