The “National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Support Programme” for Bangladesh is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and jointly implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) in cooperation with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
The objective of the project is to support selected sector ministries and executive authorities at national and local level apply in the improvement of their capacities and processes to integrate climate risks and national adaptation goals.
It is intended that the Capacity Development (CD) measures also support the participants’ capacities to develop project ideas and proposals for the implementation of sectoral adaptation goals which would be suitable for international climate financing.
