AMBEROs at the Hessenpark Open Air Museum
Every year, AMBERO organizes a company outing, bringing together all the employees of the central office. This is a unique opportunity for the team to better get to know each other and the surroundings of Kronberg and Frankfurt. To make this day even more special, we also invited our families to join us.
Because most of us live and work in Hesse, we wanted to learn more about the life and culture of this region and decided to visit the Hessenpark Open Air Museum (Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark), which shows everyday village and small-town life and festive culture from the 17th century to the 1980s.
There, a group had the opportunity to learn more about the museum, selected buildings and their former inhabitants, while others focused on how people and animals lived together and the relationship between them then and now or on why bread has been the most valuable staple food for thousands of years.
In the afternoon, we were all able to exercise our creativity and logical thinking by taking part in various manual activities: pottery, half-timbered construction, homemade ropes, dyeing and painting with plants, etc.
This cheerful day ended with an afternoon snack, thanks to many colleagues who brought delicious cakes from their home countries to share.
