Hamdya Thamer Abdullah: Food processing – pickled and stuffed fruits and nuts (Basra)
Hamdya Thamer Abdullah has been committed to the programme all the way through and attended the onsite and online sessions.
Hamdya is a secondary school graduate and she never attended any training programme before, but she followed the programme and understood the requirements of the programme and made sure that she presented quality BP and presentation by getting support from others. She already has a workshop and produces two products (stuffed pickled vegetables and stuffed dates with pistachio and other nuts).
Her requirement to expand her workshop is simple and what she reported for her requirement is truthful.
Given her dedication to succeed in her business and generate income for her family, the team decided to exempt her from attending Baghdad sessions and she received in-kind support.
Hamyda is a good model for determination, for trying hard to succeed despite the financial, social and educational level difficulties.
The project will also ensure health aspects before production. The project will provide Maqdous product in the targeted area, providing 300 kg of Maqdous per month. Thus, it meets part of the local population’s need for this product, in addition to using environmentally friendly techniques in terms of reusing glass containers, as well as manufacturing the best date products and adding the finest types of sesame and nuts.
Hamdya Thamer Abdullah was a participant at the Entrepreneurship program for start-up ans MSME Development.
