International/Regional Team Leader (f/m/d) for GIZ project on Access to Justice for Women

For more than 20 years, we have been commissioned with the implementation and pre- and post-supervision of development projects in Germany and abroad, their technical and conceptual support, the development and dissemination of new procedures and methods as well as consulting for other companies.
For a tender procedure for the GIZ Project “Access to Justice for Women” in Bangladesh, with the subject “Strengthening evidence-based Case Management in Bangladesh courts” we are currently looking for a Team Leader (f/m/d).
The proposed project aims to build upon the considerable investments and achievements of the Justice Audit 2018 and Court Audit 2021 and to put in place the mechanisms and processes to translate the findings into action.

International/Regional Team Leader for Project on Access to Justice for Women in Bangladesh

Task description:
- Overall responsibility for the advisory packages of the contractor
- Ensuring the coherence and complementarity of the contractor’s services with other services delivered by the project at local and national level
- Design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of capacity development measures for local partners in the following areas: Rule of Law and Good Governance.
- Responsibility for taking cross-cutting themes into consideration (for example, gender equality, environmental protection, and climate action i.e., climate change mitigation/adaptation, conflict and context sensitivity and human rights)
- Staff management, in particular identifying the need for short-term assignments within the available budget, planning and managing the assignments and supporting local and international experts
- Ensuring that monitoring procedures are carried out
- Regular reporting in accordance with deadlines
- Responsibility for checking the use of funds and financial planning in consultation with the officer responsible for the commission at GIZ
- Supporting the officer responsible for the commission in updating and/or adapting the project strategy, in evaluations and in preparing a follow-on phase
Your Qualifications:
- University degree (e.g., “master’s degree” or German “Diplom”) in Law or Governance studies
- Knowledge of English C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- 8 years of professional experience in good governance from which at least 5 years of experience in the justice sector
- 5 years of management experience in projects, companies, or other organisations with disciplinary leadership responsibility for 15 people
- 5 years of professional experience in 1 country outside Bangladesh
- 5 years of professional experience in Bangladesh
- 8 years of experience in development cooperation projects
