Haila Neuman Ayoub: Food Processing – Cake and Food (Basra)
Haila Neuman Ayoub’s project is not a pure agribusiness product, but it is food processing (cake and food production).
Haila attended all the online and onsite sessions. She was exempted to attend Baghdad piloting and the team decided to include her for the in-kind support.
Haila submitted satisfactory BP and she competed with others in terms of the quality of the document. Haila is another good model for trying her best to move to the final phase of the programme.
She also stated that she has a plan to have her own shop and break the barriers that only man can own and work as business owner.
Haila on the programme:
“My project, thank God, is successful, I have customers, and I made profits. There are months in which the profit is high, and months in which demand decreases.
The programme has been great and helped us to develop revenue generator for a small business where two people are benefiting. We learnt a lot from the coaching.”
Haila Neuman Ayoub was a participant at the Entrepreneurship program for start-up ans MSME Development.
The GIZ “Private Sector Development and Employment Promotion” (PSD) Project is supporting the development and piloting of business models in sectors with a strong potential for new job creation. As part of this workstream, the GIZ PSD project has launched the project “Entrepreneurship program for start-up and MSME Development, innovation and job creation in the agribusiness sector”, implemented by AMBERO Consulting GmbH. This project focused on supporting the development of promising business ideas in the downstream segments of agricultural value chains, particularly in the field of processing, marketing, and service provision.
